Justine Henin Wins On Grass Pre-Wimbledon 2007
Justine Henin continued her Roland Garros form by defending the Eastbourne International title as her preparation for Wimbledon 2007.
Henin’s greater consistency enabled her to beat Amelie Mauresmo 7-5, 6-7, 7-6 in a close fought match. She looked good on grass after a swift and smooth transition from the clay of Roland Garros.
Henin pronounced herself physically improved and better prepared for Wimbledon this year. Wimbledon is the only grand slam title to have eluded Justine Henin.
